HR2928 AWT, 4-axle diesel locomotive class D753.7, orange/grey livery, ep. V-VI
Product Info
Of the more than 400 diesel locomotives type T478.3 of Czechoslovak Railways, built between
the 1960s and 1970s and nicknamed "Brejlovec" ("Glasses") because of the characteristic
shape of the front windows of the cabins, about 100 were profoundly reconstructed
in the early 2000s by CZ Loko with new engines and equipment
and reclassified as 753.7, many of which were then purchased by various
Czech private railway companies.
About 30 units went to OKD Doprava, which specializes in freight services;
later the company was renamed AWT and finally acquired by PKP Cargo
International (international freight division of Polish Railways), although it
it continues to operate mainly in the Czech Republic.
