HR6576 FS CEMAT, 4-axle container wagon Sgnss with 45' container TRENITALIA

The 60 'Sgnss type wagons are specialized for the transport of containers and swap bodies, standardized at European level for general characteristics and anchorage points of the containers.

They are called "open frame" and were built in two main types, with the supporting beams of the frame outside or in a central position; the latter type is widespread mainly among railway companies in Italy, Switzerland and France, and allows for weight savings compared to the type with external beams.

A batch of 250 Sgnss wagons was built for the CEMAT company, now part of Mercitalia Rail, recognizable by their livery entirely in wagon green and by the lightening holes on the central beams.
